((Trying out this skin thing while debating getting a membership... lets see how it goes...))

So lately my inspiration has gone down the drain, no art, no prose, no poetry, nothing. While there are things I want to draw, when it comes to putting pencil to paper everything goes blank. Absolutely blank. I don't know why, but the creative juice just stop flowing.

The best I've been able to do is write my own thoughts as they come and some cooking. Yea... cooking. Whoda thunk, huh? I seem to go into domestic mode during this time of year. And it's not just the holiday baked goods I've been getting myself into this time, like last year I've been searching for different kinds of candy recipes. So if any of you (who may actually read this) have a favorite that's relatively not too complicated to make, feel free to send me a recipe!

So while my art has been failing to progress, the rest of life is running relatively smoothly. Work's been steady, not busy like we like it to be, but also not dead which is good. My health's been stable, with the exception of the sinus infection flare up during the first weekend of Escondido Renaissance Faire..

Speaking of Faire, this past season was a blast. I only missed one Renaissance Faire due to costuming restriction, a problem to which will soon be solved. A friend and I are going to get together for a draping and Kirtle-making weekend, she does period costuming as a living so she says it'll only take her about 5 hours to make the Kirtle, during which time I fully intend to take all the notes I can

Anyways... It's off to lunch with my Grandma Joyce while she's in town. Time to be scolded for not being in school still and interrogated about when she'll be a great-grandparent.
